Fun with Friends Playing Online Card games
I remember when we were kids, we used to have a family holiday each year in a caravan and my sister and I were allowed to take our best friend with us. Playing cards was always our favourite evening pastime. We learned quite a few games that we could play together and if the others got tired of them eventually, there were always games or puzzles that you could play alone.
Like all memories of childhood the sun was always shining, there were no arguments and there was so much to do and so many games to play, that there was never any time to get bored or cross.
Apart from the novelty of actually living in a caravan, there was always lots of new things to do and lots of trouble to get into. There were trees, to climb, rivers and woodlands to explore and so many unusual things to collect; things that always seemed to disappear well before it was time to go home. Of course we didnt mind that mum and dad disposed of them, wed had the fun collecting them in the first place. But at the end of the day, it always came back to playing the puzzles and games that everyone enjoyed.
Then there were the days on the beach where the sun always shone and sparkled on the water. I remember the shrieks as the cold water crept up our legs and the shouts as we finally too the plunge. There was sand in the sandwiches and in our shoes and salt in our matted hair and on our lips as we toiled back to the caravan for tea. Were we tired? Yes, but not too tired to demand something else to do after tea. Not to be outdone, mother produced a pack of cards greasy with years of use and chewed and curled at the corners.
With the advance of technology, kids no longer need the greasy pack of cards because there are so many games to play online. Well I thought Id learned a lot of games over the years, but was quite amazed by the number of them that are now available for free online. Some of them are easy and it can just be a fun way of passing a little time. But others are much more complicated and really get your grey matter stirred up.
The great advantage of playing card games online is that you dont have to keep dealing the cards each time. This can be quite frustrating if the game doesnt pan out and dealing actually takes longer than playing. Its also great for older people or perhaps those with a physical disability who cant manage to handle the real cards. They can have the fun and mental stimulation without any of the frustration.
